How do I get started researching my family history?

It is worth noting that the Grantown Museum is about to have a special research room set up for Clan Grant, so you can book a session there if you are visiting the area - tel: 01479 872478 or email: info@grantownmuseum.co.uk

How do I arrange a visit to the Clan Grant Centre at Duthil?
If you are planning a visit to Scotland and you would like to visit the Clan Grant Centre at Duthil, please contact the Grantown Museum on Tel: 01479 872478 or email: info@grantownmuseum.co.uk , and they can arrange this for you.
It might be possible for you to visit the Chief at the same time but please note that although he would be very happy to see you, he may not always be available.

We are visiting Scotland in August and wondered if we can join in with the Clan Grant Gathering events?
We have an annual clan get together on the second weekend in August - check our Gathering page for details. You are welcome to come and join us in the Clan Tent at the Abernethy Highland Games on the Saturday.

If you want to join us for the Clan Gathering Dinner and Ceilidh on the Saturday evening after the Games, you can book a place in advance on our Visitor’s website.  We are sorry that we cannot take bookings for this at the Games.

We also have a local guide available in the Grantown area, who is happy to take you around the region, but would not be providing transport.  The cost, which will be a donation to Grantown Museum and the Clan Centre at Duthil + expenses, will be £30 per hour.
