The Clan Grant Society Magazine"Standfast"The magazine ˜Standfast" is named after the Motto of the Grant Clan and is issued 2 times a year to the Members of the Clan Grant Society. Each edition includes articles on the historic aspects of the Clan, membership news, profiles on current Members, articles on Grant notables from the past, genealogical information and research requests, favourite recipes from Members, news, reports on the main gatherings and events, and details of Clan-specific items and gifts for sale.
The Current editon is #34, issued in July 2009. The contents include: 1. Brief messages from The Chief, The Chairman, The Treasurer, The Editor, teh tent Organiser and the Membership Secretary including Membership News 2. A report on the Donation of over £1000 collected from members and made to the Charity "Trees for Life" to help to reforest Dundreggan Estate in Glenmoriston - perviously Grant lands. 3. A draft programme for the 2010 International Gathering correct at the time of going to Press 4. A report by Adrian Grant on the progress of his book about the Origins of the Clan 5. Letters from Ensign William Grant in the 1830 period Edited by Peter Grant 6. An article showing the pivotal influence of Robert Edmond Grant on the young Charles Darwin 7. An article by Adrian Grant bringing members up to date on the Grant DNA project. 8. An article by Adrian Grant aboutr Glenurquhart and the foundation of the name Mitchell in Scotland 9.
