The Clan Grant Society Social Events

The Clan Grant Society holds a minimum of two social events per year to further the aims of the Society.

The most important of these events is the Clan Grant Gathering held on the 2nd Saturday in August each year at the Abernethy Highland Games at Nethybridge.
Nethybridge is about 5 miles from Grantown-on-Spey.

The Clan Grant Society has a marquee at the Abernethy Highland Games which is open house to visitors during the day while the games are taking place. The major spectacle of the day is the March Past on the Games Field behind the massed pipes and drums by Members of the Society in support of the Chief of Clan Grant.

After the day's activities, the Clan Society celebrates with a dinner and ceilidh with traditional entertainment in the evening.

On the Sunday after the Abernethy Highland Games, The Annual General Meeting for the Clan Grant Society is held at Duthil Church where the views and ideas of the Members are welcomed.

	The Clan Grant Society knows that most of its Members do not live locally to Nethybridge and therefore normally endeavours to hold social events in various parts of the UK,depending upon member response.
